Between Angels and Gods
That’s the best way to describe this picture. It was never planned, nor did I see it coming until the very last minute. That’s right lads and lassies, it was only after we were all dressed and were clicking through individual poses on three separate posestands when the idea hit me. At first, I was unsure if I really wanted to do it. Heck! I’d spent sixteen (16) hours yesterday working on my website : Note to self “I am not jealous of web-masters and programmers!” and I was absolutely exhausted, but this was one of rare moments that needed to be captured.
Between Angels and Gods is based on life. Our protagonist is dressed as a warrior as this is what life’s all about – a constant battle against every hurdle, and as he exhales for one last time the Goddess of Life delivers him to the Angel of Immortality. The birds are a symbol of our souls being free into that other realm, they also represent our bodies being converted into matter which fuels our Sun when our planet is no more. It’s the eternal cycle of everything that exists even when Existence itself ceases to be.
I’d like to thank Parker and Oakley for being such great sports. It’s always a pleasure working with them, individually and as a group like this. We just seem to work so well at setting up unexpected sceneries and creating pictures when we least expect it. I’d like to thank Oakley for suggesting that we check out the Fantasy Gacha Fair where we got these stunning antlers and horns provided by a store called a i s l i n g. Trust me, these babies are so detailed with ridges and pearls and bones and crystals and chains with individual links and the list just goes on.
Also, I’d like to point out that Oakley and I are wearing two of the latest skins (I think they are anyway) from Kooqla. My avatar is wearing the group gift, River (Sanguine) and the body and face paints are part of the skin and not a tattoo layer. Oakley is wearing the Mango skin and it’s very pretty. Just a note about Kooqla, these skins, if you aren’t aware are hand-drawn and they have an artistic and stylised appearance so they may or may not be your cup of tea, but if you ask me they are definitely worth checking out.
